Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on awarding RFP #1809-257 Specific and Aggregate Stop Loss Insurance to the overall best respondent UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company and authorizing execution of Contract Amendment No. 1 to the existing Group Policy No. GA-911463AL to be effective January 1, 2019.
Background
Purchasing solicited sealed proposals for Specific and Aggregate Stop Loss Insurance. We received 1 response from our current carrier UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company. The response was evaluated by an evaluation team and their recommendation for award was brought before the Benefits Committee. The Benefits Committee approved the recommendation for award to be submitted to the Commissioner's Court. Details of the new policy are provided in the attached contract amendment. Funding will be provided from the Benefits Fund. Point of contact is Shelley Loughrey, Human Resources.
