Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the purchase and delivery of Portland Cement for a period of one (1) year provided by written quote(s) where no competitive bids were received, pursuant to Texas Local Government Code Section 262.0225(d) and 262.0245, and County policy.

Background

Williamson County solicited sealed bids for Portlant Cement under IFB #1809-260, however, no responsive bids were received. Following the bid process, per County policy, Road and Bridge contacted three (3) vendors and received two (2) quotes. The quotes received were from Texas Lehigh Cement LP and Martin Marietta. The department point of contact is Terron Evertson. This expenditure will be charged to 01.0200.0210.003597. Funding was approved in the FY2019 budget.
