Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on the adoption of the Williamson County Interjurisdictional Wildfire Protection Plan and authorize the County Judge's signature to the plan along with the Emergency Management Coordinator and staff from the Texas A&M Forest Service to fully enact the plan.
Background
The Williamson County Office of Emergency Management with assistance from the Core Planning team, comprised of local emergency management agencies, select members of the Williamson County Fire Chief's association and other stakeholders, in conjunction with TetraTech developed a comprehensive wildfire mitigation plan to address the increasing threats within Williamson County. This plan provides details outlining both risk and reduction strategies to minimize the wildfire risk in Williamson County.
