Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on resolution designating the County Judge as the authorized official for Veterans Treatment Court grant #278105 from the Office of the Governor and CEO/Law Enforcement Certifications and Assurances Form.
Background
This is a current grant that provides funding for the Veterans Treatment Court that is presided over by Judge Laura Barker. A resolution was approved by the Commissioners Court and submitted to the Office of the Governor when the grant was awarded, but it designated the previous County Judge by name as the authorized official. The revised resolution names the County Judge as Authorized Official. The Office of the Governor also requires an updated CEO/Law Enforcement Certifications and Assurances Form that requires the signature of both the elected County Judge and the Sheriff. The form was created and sent by the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, with blanks for our County's specific information.
