Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 2 (M.A. Smith Contracting) in the amount of $5,202.12 for Lakeline Right Turn Lanes, a Road Bond project in Commissioner Pct. 2.

This Change Order replaces the proposed concrete block retaining wall with a concrete curb placed along the proposed sidewalk, due to the proximity of the sidewalk to the existing Austin Energy (A/E) poles. The actual location of the A/E poles put the poles too close to the proposed sidewalk and block wall. Per A/E, all construction should be a minimum of 2 feet from the poles. To provide this clearance, the wider block wall was replaced with a narrower concrete curb. This Change Order also adds pay items for the 2 inch and 3 inch conduit bores called for in the plans for the proposed signal at the HEB driveway. The plans call for new conduit to be bored across Lakeline Boulevard, but the pay items for this work were not included in the bid tab.
