Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving the personal protective equipment (PPE) decontamination service agreement between Williamson County and Battelle Memorial Institute.

Background

This agreement will allow Williamson County EMS to utilize Battelle’s Critical Care Decontamination System to decontaminate N95 masks.  Battelle was awarded a contract by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) on behalf of the U.S Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to provide N95 decontamination at no charge to health care providers as defined in the Emergency Use Authorization.  If needed, Williamson County would be responsible for shipping the N95 masks to Battelle.  Service agreement has been reviewed by Williamson County legal.
