Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on awarding RFP #22RFP38 EMS Shift Schedule Optimization Process Study to Circadian Technologies, Inc. for a study to include paramedics and management in a joint project to determine if the 24-hour shift and 24/48-hour schedule remain the best option and authorizing the execution of the contract.

Background

The Purchasing Department sent 7,300 notification and received three (3) submittals through our Bonfire bidding portal. After extensive in-depth evaluation, the EMS Department is recommending award to, Circadian Technologies, Inc. in the amount of $58,000.00.  It is recognized that an optimal schedule can improve recruiting and retention of personnel, operational productivity, and the overall health and safety of personnel.  The value of a properly determined shift schedule and supporting policies can have an enormous return-on-investment and overall operating benefits.  Williamson County EMS wishes to have an employee involved approach and proven process that will determine the most suitable schedule structure for meeting employee and departmental needs. The Point of Contact is Mike Knipstein. Funding source is 0540-0100-004100 approved for FY22.
