Conduct a public hearing relating to a retention request from the County Attorney’s Office to increase the budgeted salary amount for the position of Juvenile Prosecutor, PCN 0041 and discuss (1) the reason for the salary increase in excess of the budgeted amount to include the public purpose that will be served by approving the request; and (2) the exact amount of the additional salary request, the source of payment and the schedule of implementation.
Background
- The reason for the requested increase is to retain this employee for the County Attorney's Office. This employee has been with the County Attorney's office over 16 years and has advanced knowledge of many areas of the office. This employee has filled gaps when the office has been short staff and having this person available to cover in many areas will allow the office to begin cross training between the different divisions of the County Attorney's office. The County Attorney's office will be well served to retain this employee.
- The additional requested annual salary amount is $9,536.85 and would come from surplus salary dollars from PCNs 0015, 0018, and 1721. Funds are currently allocated in the County Attorney’s office budget, so no additional funds are requested and no impact to the overall budget. The effective date if approved would be 4/29/22.
