Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the purchase of pole permitting services from Oncor Electric Delivery Company, LLC in the amount of $5,186.85 and exempting the item from competitive bidding requirements per Texas Local Government Code Discretionary Exemption 262.024(a)(7)(C) [Electric power, gas, water, and other utility services]. Funding Source is P537.
Background
IT is proposing to replace or modify existing overhead distribution facilities for Williamson County who has agreed to pay the total cost of this Work Request in accordance with their license agreement. The estimated Work Request cost is $4.538 plus a tax adjustment of $449.36 plus a $199.49 franchise fee for a total of $5,186.85. It will be necessary to: replace pole SID:2833355-9561 with a 45/3 wooden pole. Completion of this Work Request will allow Williamson County to attach to Oncor Electric Delivery poles while meeting National Electrical Safety Code requirements. No other provider can do the work since Oncor is the electric delivery company for this utility. IT, legal, contract audit, and budget have reviewed this purchase.
