Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on Williamson County participating in the City of Georgetown's Arts and Culture Board mural program to place a 175th anniversary mural on the north side of the county building at 901 S. Austin Avenue.

For the 175th Birthday Celebration for both Williamson County and the City of Georgetown, the 175th Celebration Committee is requesting Commissioner Court approval to work with the City of Georgetown's Arts and Culture Board to initiate a call for entries for a mural to be installed on the wall of the Williamson County building at 901 S. Austin Avenue along the 9th Street side. The City of Georgetown’s Arts and Culture Board will invite artist entries for the design of a mural in celebration of the 175^th anniversary of Williamson County and the City of Georgetown. The mural design should be an interpretation of the history of Williamson County and how the City of Georgetown, as the site for the anniversary mural, contributed to the development of the area that is Williamson County. From the entries submitted by the deadline, the Arts and Culture Board in collaboration with Williamson County will award an artist commission for the mural design and installation. If approved, a mural easement agreement with the City of Georgetown will be placed on a future agenda for consideration.
