Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving the service contract #2023259 for HVAC replacement of outside air fan variable frequency drive (VFD) and supply fan VFD at the Jester Annex Building by Texas Equipment Solutions in the amount of $6,402.50 and exempting the procurement of such services from the competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Texas Local Government Code Discretionary Exemption 262.024(a)(2) - an item necessary to preserve the health and safety of the residents of Williamson County and authorizing the execution of this agreement.
Background
Facilities Management submitted a requisition #132388 for the emergency repair of the HVAC Rooftop Unit located at the Jester Annex, 1801 East Old Settlers Boulevard, Round Rock, TX 78665 for the outside air fan variable frequency drive (VFD) and supply fan VFD to be replaced. The repair is required to get systems back up to par and clear red tag status. The equipment at Jester Annex that needs to be repaired contains "Innovent software" which Texas Equipment Solutions is an authorized servicer in Central Texas. Funding source 01.0100.1066.004510. Department point of contact is Joe Piefer.
