Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $20,980.10 for Project 23IFB12 CR 245 Reconstruction (Joe Bland Construction) P: 353 Funding Source: Road Bond.

This Change Order compensates the contractor for removing an existing building that encroaches the new ROW, north of the Worship Place Church, that was not identified in the plans. This Change Order also compensates the contractor for closing two karst features that were encountered while excavating to subgrade south of Smokestack Lane. The closure pours were placed per TCEQ recommendations. Please see attached Change Order for additional information.

This Change Order results in a net increase of $20,980.10 to the Contract amount, for an adjusted Contract total of $6,990,175.31. The original Contract amount was $6,969,195.21. As a result of this and all Change Orders to-date, $20,980.10 has been added to the Contract, resulting in a 0.30% net increase in the overall Contract cost. As a result of this Change Order, zero (0) days will be added to the contract.
