Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on the appointment of District Judge Terence M. Davis as the Williamson County representative on the Bluebonnet Trails Community Services board of directors effective immediately for a two-year term that begins on February 1, 2025, and ends on January 31, 2027.
Background
In September 2024, the Honorable Terence M. Davis was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott as the presiding Judge of the 480th District Court. Prior to his appointment, Judge Davis handled civil litigation, including personal injury, products liability, and contract law. Judge Davis began his legal career as an associate with Fulbright & Jaworski, LLP in San Antonio. He founded the Davis Law Firm in 2009, where he primarily handled family law matters. In 2014, Judge Davis became board certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
As an undergraduate, Judge Davis earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Texas State University. He then received his law degree from St. Mary’s Law School, where he graduated with honors. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and its Family Law Section, member, former president, and former board member of the Williamson County Bar Association, founding member of the Williamson County American Inn of Court, and co-founder of the Christian Legal Society of Williamson County. Additionally, he is a board member of Journey Bible Fellowship Church and former president and former board member of the Block House Municipal Utility District.
