Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on changing the list of Public Safety Personnel in the Budget Order 2024/2025 to allow the Office of Emergency Management Duty Officer on-call take home vehicle access and all Fire Marshal's Operational Staff to take home response vehicles.

The Approved Positions for Take Home Vehicles listed in Budget Order 2024/2025 currently don't include the Office of Emergency Management On-Call Duty Officer to take home a vehicle during their on-call time. Only a few positions under the Fire Marshal's office are allowed to take home their department vehicle, with one additional employee for on-call. All the Fire Marshal employees need to be allowed to take their vehicles home daily in order to respond after hours to emergencies. These positions are required to respond quickly, in a county response vehicle, to the scene of emergencies and disasters. Failure to do so may have a negative impact on lives and property. A change to the Budget Order adding these staff to the authorized list will result in a more effective response and recovery.
