Discuss and take appropriate action on a request by County Court at Law 2 to accept the Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans Assistance grant awarded by the Texas Veterans Commission to support the Williamson County Veterans Treatment Court Program in the amount of $320,000 and authorize the County Judge to sign the Notice of Grant Award once finalized by the Texas Veterans Commission. The request to apply for the grant was approved by the Commissioners Court on October 1, 2024.
Background
The Grant will begin July 1, 2025, and run for a 14-month period thru August 31, 2026.
