Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving an Interlocal Agreement between Williamson County and the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) for the purpose of providing a temporary site to stage, sort and dispose of debris in and near county waterways resulting from the flood that occurred on July 5, 2025.
Background
This Interlocal Agreement will benefit Williamson County by facilitating the removal and disposal of flood debris from county waterways. The cost of collecting and disposal of debris in and near impacted streams and rivers is being covered by the state. No cost share is required for the county. Removal of the debris reduces ongoing public health and safety risks. This agreement allows the state to use county property previously used for the same purpose by the county.
