Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 4 in the amount of $37,550.00 for Project 24IFB59 East Wilco Hwy Segment 2 Phase 1 (Capital Excavation).

Background

This Change Order compensates the Contractor for relocating an existing fire hydrant, capping an existing line, adjusting 3 valves, and installing a new valve that is in conflict with the proposed roadway. This Change Order also compensates the Contractor for performing special (hand) clearing in the archeological area to expedite the exploratory investigation on the east side of Brushy Creek. Please see the attached Change Order for additional details.  This Change Order results in a net increase of $37,550.00 to the Contract amount, for an adjusted Contract total of $62,537,751.99. The original Contract amount was $64,407,606.63. As a result of this and all Change Orders to-date, $1,869,854.64 has been deducted from the Contract, resulting in an 2.9% net decrease in the Contract cost. No additional days will be added to the Contract as a result of this Change Order. P: 392 Funding Source: 2023 Road Bond in Commissioners Precinct 4.
