Receive and acknowledge approval of Change Order No.1 from Chasco Constructors, Ltd., LLP, for the Central Maintenance Fleet Shop Addition in the amount of $365,892.03 and to extend time for completion of the additional requested services, which was approved by Williamson County Project Manager, Daryl Mutz, pursuant to the Commissioners Court's prior delegation of change order approval authority pursuant to Loc. Gov't Code Sec. 262.031.

Background

The Change Order No. 1 is made to compensate the contractor, Chasco Constructors, Ltd., LLP, for requested changes to the Fleet Shop Addition project for electrical, concrete, and steel, Terradyne testing lab, relocation of rooftop equipment, added conduit for MAU controls, reinstall existing canopy lighting, existing gas line conflict, existing 2 inch water service relocation and bypass/wastewater replacement, relocation of existing fiber conduit, wall panel repair at Old Canopy, AHU condensate drain location, 2 new WWMH & 6” SSDR-26 WWL, steel changes related to roof slope revision, revision to 2 hour fire rated wall, changes associated with moving the masonry wall and doors, and to clear conflict at columns. This Change Order results in a net increase of $365,892.03. The original Contract amount was $2,171,842.00 with no previous Change Orders. As a result of this Change Order, the net increase is 16.8% in the Contract cost with a new contract sum of $2,537,734.03. Williamson County Facilities Project Manager, Daryl Mutz was delegated change order approval authority for this project on January 23, 2024, by the Commissioners Court pursuant to Loc. Gov't Code Sec. 262.031. This item is to acknowledge such approval and record same into the minutes of the Commissioners Court.
