Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving the annual request to exempt from competitive bidding/proposal requirements, pursuant to Tex/Loc. Gov't Code Section 262.024(11) Vehicle and Equipment Repairs (i.e. those not covered by insurance coverage and that are paid for from County funds) for FY25/26 based on criteria and definitions provided by the Williamson County Purchasing Agent.

Background

The Purchasing Department seeks an annual exemption of these services as allowable per the code. Approving this exemption brings the County compliant with the approval requirement of the Commissioners Court for said exemption.  Summary memo with category definitions is attached.  Department point of contact is Joy Simonton, Purchasing Agent.
