Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on a Business Associate Agreement with Lone Star Circle of Care.
Background
Lone Star Circle of Care (LSCC) was provided funding through the Tobacco Account to provide services to uninsured Williamson County residents. To invoice and share Protected Health Information (PHI) with the County, LSCC needs to have a Business Associate Agreement (BBA) with the County. A BBA is necessary for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
