Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on an approval for Juvenile Services to apply for a grant through the Texas Juvenile Justice Department to fund an in-hour drug treatment program.

Juvenile Services is requesting approval to apply for $83,200.00 in grant funding from the Texas Juvenile Justice Department for an in-house drug treatment program.  Funding requested would be used over a 2-year period to contract with a licensed (LCDC and LPC) counselor to provide group and individual counseling services.  The program would provide short-term residential treatment for drug use in a secure setting for juveniles with approval from their attorneys and with consent from the Juvenile Court.  There is no match required for this grant.
