Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on awarding IFB# 1707-177, for Hauling Services to the lowest and best bidders, Statewide Materials Transport Ltd. as primary vendor and Lewis Clark Trucking, LLC. as secondary vendor.

Background

Six (6) companies downloaded the specifications for this IFB and two (2) companies submitted bids by the deadline.  This is the first year we have received multiple bids on this service in approximately 5 years.  With high demand for this service there was an expectation of a low number of bidders.  We are awarding this contract to multiple vendors based on their pricing for the amount of material we have delivered.  The contract term is for 12 months with possible 24 months in extension per renewal options.
