Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on exempting Tom's Dive & Swim from the competitive bid/proposal requirements of the County Purchasing Act pursuant to the discretionary exemption as set forth under Tex. Loc. Gov’t Code §§ 262.024(2), for the one-time purchase of inflatable life vests and safety training in the amount of $28,499.00.
Background
Tom's Dive and Swim has provided water safety gear for us in the past. These purchases may be exempted by the public health and safety exemption. It is being charged to the Sheriff''s Office seized funds budget ($28,499).
