Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on awarding IFB # 1806-236 Limestone Rock Asphalt to the lowest responsive bidder Vulcan Construction Materials LP.
Background
Purchasing solicited sealed bids for limestone rock asphalt. Twenty-Five (25) vendors viewed the IFB and one (1) vendor responded. After reviewing the bid received, Road & Bridge has determined that the bid was responsive and based on past positive experience with Vulcan Construction Materials LP is recommending them for award with a contract amount of $1,000,000.00. The contract term will be from August 18, 2018 to August 17, 2019 with two (2) annual renewals. The department point of contact is Terron Everston. This expenditure will be charged to 01.0200.0210.003550. Funding was approved in the FY2018 budget.
