Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving the emergency service from Ward Septic Tank and Backhoe Service in the not-to-exceed amount of $10,050.00 and exempting this purchase from the competitive bidding requirements as per Texas Local Government Code Discretionary Exemption 262.024(a)(2) and 262.024(a)(3).
Background
A leak was discovered in the main grease trap at the Williamson County jail kitchen and the contents were leaking into the interior of the facility. It was deemed necessary to pump the trap immediately to stop the leak and inspect the tank to determine the source of the leak. The department point of contact is Dale Butler. This expenditure will be charged to P411 which was approved as a capital request for FY2018.
