Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on awarding RFP #T1705 Animal Shelter Vet Equipment to Patterson Veterinary.
Background
Approval of this item will support the operations of the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter by reducing the number of outsourced services. Purchasing solicited sealed proposals for veterinary equipment to include a digital radiology machine, a chemistry analyzer, and a hematology analyzer. Two suppliers participated in the solicitation and one submitted a response. The response was evaluated by the evaluation committee and it was determined that the submission was responsive and of best value to the county. The total cost of these pieces of equipment are $58,136 with a breakdown as follows: digital radiology machine $38,636, chemistry analyzer $8,500, hematology analyzer $11,000.
