Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on authorizing a repair parts blanket purchase order for Fleet Services to Don Hewlett Chevrolet in the amount of $125,000.00.

Background

To facilitate ease and speed of ordering repair and replacement parts for Williamson County fleet vehicles, a blanket purchase order is recommended for Don Hewlett Chevrolet.  The Fleet Services Department will utilize this purchase order on as as-needed basis throughout the year.  This purchase is exempt from the competitive bidding requirements as allowed per Texas Local Government Code Discretionary Exemptions Section 262.024.(a)(11) vehicle and equipment repairs. The court has previously granted this exemption for vehicle and equipment repairs.  Funding is authorized in the FY 22 budget for these purchases.  Department contact is Kevin Teller.  This expenditure will be charged to 01.0882.0882.003523.
