The Purchasing Department solicited sealed bids for IFB #21IFB16 Cotrell Street Overlay. Two thousand six hundred ninety-two (2692) vendors were invited to bid and two (2) vendors participated in the solicitation of which one (1) submitted a bid. One bid was received by Chasco Constructors and was found to be responsive and materially balanced. The bidder was 25.1% higher than the Engineer’s Estimate. In addition to meeting the bid qualifications subject to being the only bidder, Chasco Constructors has successfully completed many past Williamson County projects (Inner Loop Safety Improvements, CR 258-Sunset Ridge to Reagan, and CR 110 South) performing similar work. Based on the previous quality of work done for Williamson County and their bid of $419,919.00, we concur with the Design Engineer’s (CONSOR) Recommendation of Award for the Cotrell Street Overlay (Bartlett Project) contract to Chasco Constructors in the amount of $419,919.00. Point of Contact is Kim Scherer of HNTB.
