Discuss, consider and take appropriate action to increase funding to the Health District Coop Agreement for Fiscal Year 2022 as it relates to the management of Indigent Healthcare.

The additional funding is for 2 months of salary for billing staff to review and process indigent Health Bills.  It also includes startup costs such as computers, desk, etc.  The amount needed for the months of August and September is $31,400.00.  This allows the Health District to hire the staff that will replace the current Third Party Administrator contract to be in place at the beginning of the new plan year which is September 2022.  If approved County staff will submit a line item transfer on the following agenda to cover the expenses from the current Indigent Health budget in Department 0630-Health District.
