Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the Agreement for Interactive Voice Response (IVR) Support Services in the amount of $5,900.00 and exempting this purchase from the competitive bidding requirements for said service established by Texas Local Government code 262.024 (a)(7)(D) captive replacement parts and components for equipment and authorizing the execution of the agreement.
Background
Approval of this purchase will support the Williamson County Elections Department. A significant investment was made in this Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system in 2016. IVR, is an automated telephone system that combines pre-recorded messages or text-to-speech technology with a dual-tone multi-frequency interface to engage callers, allowing them to provide and access information without a live agent. Drake Communications is the only vendor that can provide the support services for their system. The annual support agreement is attached. IT, Legal, Contract Audit and Budget have reviewed this purchase. This expenditure will be charged to FY22 01.0100.0492.004506 and 01.0377.0377.004506.
