9:30 am Conduct public hearing relating to a request from the District Attorney’s (DA) office to transfer additional funding from Non-Departmental or to allow the use of unspent salary dollars within the DA’s general fund budget for the position of Felony Prosecutor I and discuss (1) the reason for the funding transfer, including the public purpose that will be served by transferring the funding; and (2) the exact amount of the funding transfer, the sources of the payment, and the terms for distribution of the payment that effect and maintain the public purpose to be served if any excess is needed.

1. The reason for the funding request is to move forward with a salary offer closer to the current salary amount for an experienced attorney and to move it more in line with like positions within the office. The public would be well served by filling a long-term vacancy in order to expedite prosecution of cases.
2. The funding request to be transferred or utilized is $13,724.67  (additional salary of $11,095.12 and fringe of $2,629.55), which will be paid through the normal bi-weekly payroll. If unspent salary dollars are not approved to be used, excess needed would be funded through Non - Departmental.
