Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on an order declaring an emergency and a grave necessity due to unforeseeable circumstances and approve a budget amendment to acknowledge additional expenditures for the District Attorney’s Office from State Judiciary Apportionment Funds.
Background
Apportionment funds are appropriated by the State. These funds are for the period of September through December 2024 and may be used for salaries, travel and expenses of assistant prosecutors, investigators and administrative staff. These funds can be used for certain day-to-day expenses of the office as outlined in Governmental Code Section 46.0031.
