Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving contract #2025284 between Williamson County and LexisNexis, a division of RELX, INC. to purchase the Lexis+ product offering with a 12-month subscription and two 12-month renewals for a total of $4,548.00 over the lifetime of the contract, and authorizing the execution of the agreement.

The approval of this agreement will allow the Justice of the Peace Precinct #1 staff to perform online legal research. The Lexis+ will allow access to Texas Statewide Public Records, News, All Briefs, Pleadings, and Motions, Texas Practice Library, National Primary Enhanced, and Practical Guidance-State and Local Government.   The subscription beginning 9/1/25 will be billed at $120.00 a month for the first 12 months; the second 12-month period will be $126.00 per month; and the third 12-month period will be $133.00 per month.  The funding source will be 01.0100.0451.004210 for FY25. Origination #2993. The purchase has been approved by the Auditor's Office. The department's point of contact is Misty Lamb.  The vendor is publicly traded, therefore a 1295 form is not needed.
