Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on awarding IFB #25IFB61 Asphalt Mixes to Asphalt Inc LLC, dba Lone Star Paving Company, based on the lowest and best bid for a particular location or type of material for the Road and Bridge Department.

The Purchasing Department sent out two thousand one hundred fifty-seven (2,157) notifications with twenty-nine (29) document takers and received three (3) vendor submissions.  Williamson County received bids for the purchase and delivery of asphalt mixes for construction maintenance of highways, streets and bridges on an as needed basis.  After reviewing all the pertinent information, it was concluded that Asphalt Inc LLC, dba Lone Star Paving Company provided one of the lowest and best bids for a particular location or type of material.  It is the recommendation of the Director of the Road and Bridge Department that Williamson County award this solicitation #25IFB61 Asphalt Mixes to Asphalt Inc LLC dba Lone Star Paving Company. The solicitation documents and vendor’s bid will serve as the contract documents.  The funding source is 01.0200.0210.003550 and the point of contact for this project is Kelly Murphy.
