Receive and acknowledge approval of GMP1, Change Order No.2 from J.T. Vaughn Construction, LLC. for the Justice Complex Improvements in the amount of $43,335.00 and to extend time for completion of additional requested services, which was approved by Williamson County Project Manager, Thomas Crockett, pursuant to the Commissioners Court's prior delegation of change order approval authority pursuant to Loc. Gov't Code Sec. 262.031.
Background
The Change Order No. 2 is to compensate the contractor, J.T. Vaughn Construction, LLC. for additional panic buttons, sanitary pipe replacement, additional card readers for gym, hardware and electrical for card readers, drainpipe ramps, and dumpster approach expansion. This Change Order results in a net increase of $43,335.00. The original Contract amount was $3,330,832.00, with the previous Change Order amount totaling $76,306. As a result of this Change Order, the net increase is 3.6% in the Contract cost with a new contract sum of $3,450,473.00. Williamson County Facilities Project Manager, Thomas Crockett was delegated change order approval authority for this project on January 23, 2024, by the Commissioners Court pursuant to Loc. Gov't Code Sec. 262.031. This item is to acknowledge such approval and record same into the minutes of the Commissioners Court.
