Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving a Resolution Authorizing a County Grant in relation to the Texas Department of Agriculture Texans Feeding Texans: Home Delivered Meal Grant Program.

The proposed resolution will certify that the county will make a grant of $55,000 to Williamson-Burnet County Opportunities to be used by such organization from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, to provide meals to homebound elderly and/or disabled persons. The resolution also certifies that the county has approved the Williamson-Burnet County Opportunities accounting system in relation to the grant requirements. The county has participated in the same grant in prior years. The Williamson County Commissioners Court approved $55,000 funding for Williamson-Burnet County Opportunities' Senior Nutrition program within the FY '26 adopted budget. The Texans Feeding Texans Home-Delivered Meal Grant Program was established to help supplement and extend the applicants' current home-delivered meal program for seniors and/or disabled Texans.
