Emergency Medical Services Week will be observed nationwide from May 17–23, 2026. This recognition honors the dedication of paramedics, emergency medical technicians, dispatchers, nurses, physicians, and support personnel who provide lifesaving care to the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Recognizing EMS Week acknowledges the vital role emergency medical services professionals play in improving outcomes for those experiencing medical emergencies, illness, or injury. The 2026 national EMS Week theme is “Improving Outcomes, Together.”
