Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving an Interlocal Agreement between Fort Bend County and Williamson County for Performance of Postmortem Exams.
Public Background
This Interlocal Agreement will provide the Williamson County Justices of the Peace with an additional location for obtaining postmortem exams. In consideration for the services provided by Fort Bend County’s Medical Examiner, Williamson County will pay Fort Bend County all costs and expenses associated with performing the autopsy. The fees stated in the Interlocal Agreement are as follows: (a) Standard Autopsy Examination - $2600.00 per body; and (b) External Examination - $850.00 per body.
