Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 9 in the amount of ($471,245.01) for Project 24IFB59 East Wilco Hwy Segment 2 Phase 1 (Capital Excavation).

This Change Order adds items to the Contract to compensate the contractor for constructing air bridges to allow heavy construction equipment to safely cross the Atmos gas line in several locations, properly backfilling the excavation performed for the archeological investigation, and realigning the proposed drainage ditch at FM 1660 to avoid the remaining archeological area on the northeast side of Brushy Creek. As a result of the drainage realignment, the quantities for several items of work are reduced. Multiple items will be added by this Change Order. Please see the attached Change Order.
This Change Order results in a net decrease of $471,245.01 to the Contract amount, for an adjusted Contract total of $55,381,094.57. The original Contract amount was $64,407,606.63. As a result of this and all Change Orders to-date, $9,026,512.06 has been deducted from the Contract, resulting in an 14.01% net decrease in the Contract cost. No additional days will be added to the Contract as a result of this Change Order.
