Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $330,045.27 for Project 26IFB6 – CR 110 North (Joe Bland Construction).

This Change Order compensates the Contractor for additional work to mitigate the groundwater that was encountered under the proposed roadway at the existing pond location. After discussions with the Engineer of Record and Williamson County, it was decided that the best solution to keep the water from migrating into the roadway structure was to place oversize rock along with french drains so that the water could drain into the proposed ditch. Multiple items will be added by this Change Order. Please see the attached Change Order.
This Change Order results in a net increase of $330,045.27 to the Contract amount, for an adjusted Contract total of $6,870,206.77. The original Contract amount was $6,540,161.50. As a result of this and all Change Orders to date, $330,045.27 has been added to the Contract, resulting in a 5.05% increase in the Contract cost. No additional days will be added to the Contract because of this Change Order.
