Discussion and formal recognition of Williamson County programs were recently honored by the National Association of Counties (NACo) through the 2026 Achievement Awards.
Public Background
NACo has recognized three Williamson County Justice of the Peace initiatives for their innovation, impact, and service to the residents of Williamson County:
Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2 — Youth Health Rhythms
Recognition of the JP2 Youth Health Rhythms program, which supports youth facing behavioral and mental health challenges through therapeutic drumming. The program helps participants manage stress, build coping skills, improve relationships, and gain confidence in a supportive environment.
Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3 — Parent Mentor Program
Recognition of the JP3 Parent Mentor Program for its distinguished work in supporting parents navigating court processes, strengthening family engagement, and enhancing access to guidance and resources that contribute to family stability and success.
Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3 — Judge for a Day Program
Recognition of the JP3 Judge for a Day Program for its innovative approach to promoting civic education, increasing understanding of the judicial system, and fostering community involvement through experiential learning.
Staff requests formal acknowledgment of these programs for the dedication, leadership, and commitment to advancing public service within Williamson County.
