- Delegate authority to the Manager of Procurement to sign the agreement.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
On September 28, 2021, the Board of Supervisors (Board) approved the initial American Rescue Plan (ARP) Expenditure Plan, which included $3,000,000 for projects under the Food Security priority category. The Board then subsequently reviewed and provided direction on specific food security funding at the January 25, 2022, board meeting and expressed support for funding the Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance. Staff has worked with Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance to develop the final contract, which is recommended for approval with this staff report. Additional information on the scope of the contract with the Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance and performance measures are described below:
Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance- Food Security for Yolo Seniors
Funding this contract with Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance will help provide expanded food access that includes a social aspect and connection to additional services to low-income older adults throughout Yolo County, emphasizing reaching persons in rural areas. Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance will conduct outreach to identify older adults experiencing food insecurity in the community. Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance will coordinate with community and county entities to host events that will provide information regarding programs and services for older adults while providing an opportunity for community connection. At the same time, food will be offered from local food truck providers. The performance measures and outcomes associated with this project include tracking the number of older adults receiving meals, connection to services, and tracking the number of rural older adults who will gain access to food and services.
