Reason for Recommended Action/Background
Human Resources recommends the Board approve the request from the Department of Community Services to grant an accelerated merit step increase to Step 3 for Stephanie Cormier, upon her regular merit increase to Step 2 in the class of Chief Assistant Director of Community Services, for outstanding performance, effective July 28, 2024. The Board of Supervisors may adjust the salary of an incumbent to any step within the salary range in order to correct inequities, reward outstanding achievement and performance, or for other reasons acceptable to the Board. Ms. Cormier has excelled in her role as Chief Assistant Director of Community Services thus far and her performance and delivery of duties and functions far exceeds expectations. This action will result in an additional 5% increase for the incumbent.
