Reason for Recommended Action/Background

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted Yolo County, creating unprecedented challenges for public health, local government operations, and community resilience. Moving forward, it is crucial that we thoroughly evaluate our response to the crisis.

An After-Action Report has been created to assess the effectiveness of our strategies, operations, and community engagement during the pandemic. This report gathers data from stakeholders, including public health officials, the healthcare system, emergency responders, and community organizations.

We respectfully recommend that the Board of Supervisors receive and review the COVID-19 After-Action Report to fully understand our response efforts and guide future public health strategies. This presentation will facilitate a constructive discussion on strengthening our systems, better serving our community, and improving preparedness for future health crises. By taking this proactive approach, Yolo County can ensure continual improvement in public health initiatives and reaffirm its commitment to the well-being of all residents.
