Reason for Recommended Action/Background
California Elections Code Section 15372 requires the county elections officials to prepare and submit certified election results to the County Board of Supervisors within 30 days of the election. The Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters certified the results of the November 5, 2024, General Election on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
The certificate of election includes the combined results of the November 5, 2024, General Election, pursuant to Board Minute Order No. 24-66 Item No. 9 wherein this Board approved the consolidation of the elections in the jurisdictions of the City of Davis, City of West Sacramento, City of Winters, City of Woodland, Yuba Community College District, Davis Joint Unified School District, Washington Unified School District, and Community Facilities District No. 1989-1 with the General Election conducted on November 5, 2024.
This recommended action accepts the Yolo County November 5, 2024, General Election results. The comprehensive package captures all the election results including the appointments in-lieu of election Certificates of Facts that were previously approved by the Board on December 3, 2024, to assist those particular jurisdictions in meeting their earlier swearing-in timelines for newly-elected officials to begin their terms of office.
