Subject

Adopt Authorized Position and Salary Resolution to implement changes in the Health and Human Services Agency; adopt resolution providing for At-Will appointments to County positions; and approve side letter agreement regarding education and POST special compensation for the Yolo County Deputy Sheriff's Association. (No general fund impact) (Pannu)

Recommended Action

  1. Adopt Position and Salary Resolution to implement changes in the Health and Human Services Agency; 
     
  2. Adopt resolution providing for At-Will appointments to County positions to add Chief Probation Officer; and
     
  3. Approve side letter agreement regarding education and POST special compensation for the Yolo County Deputy Sheriff's Association.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

See Attachment A for changes to the Authorized Position and Salary Resolution.

See Attachment B for revisions to the Supervising Accounting Technician class specification.

See Attachment C for changes to the At-Will Resolution. Board approval of the attached Resolution providing for At-Will Appointments to County Positions is required when changes are made to the list of class titles that are exempt from the requirement that all appointments to regular County positions be made from an eligible list, and who serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority.

See Attachment D for side letter with Yolo County Deputy Sheriff's Association. Staff recommends approving the attached side letter pertaining to Education and POST Special Compensation for Deputy Coroners I/II classifications, effective July 1, 2025.
