Receive annual report on the state of County Parks.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

The County's Parks System has undertaken a number of successful projects in the past year.  The Parks System is managed by the Department of General Services'  Parks Division.  The Parks Division has also successfully collaborated with a number of educational and non-profit associations in the past year.  Finally, the Parks Division has undertaken a number of operational improvements to provide a better level of service within existing appropriations.  A best practice is for the Parks Division to present a periodic update the Board of Supervisors of its activities, accomplishments, challenges, and future goals.
