Recommended Action
Approve and authorize the Chair to sign first amendment to State Agreement No. 22-10211 A01 with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to increase revenue by $62,824 for a new revenue amount of $1,068,804 for the period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2027 for the provision of the Local Oral Health Program.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) provided Yolo County grant funds for the Local Oral Health Program. These funds have allowed Yolo County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) to expand program activities related to oral health in the communities. These activities have included education, oral health disease prevention, facilitating community-clinical linkages, establishing oral health policies, and surveillance.
The strategic goals for this program are to raise community awareness about oral health, increase screening and prevention services for children, facilitate local policies to promote oral health, and promote expanded dental access for low-income children/adults.
The purpose of this amendment is to reallocate a portion of funding from the previously awarded grant to allow HHSA to continue school-based/school-linked activities that HHSA was unable to complete due to school closures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The total amount of this action is to increase the contractual amount by $62,824 for a total cost of $1,068,804 for the period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2027.
