Accept as complete the construction project at 37750 Sacramento Street, Yolo for the Yolo Branch Library, performed under Agreement PO4038-Broward Builders, Inc.; and authorize the Director of General Services to sign and record the Notice of Completion. (No general fund impact) (Pistochini)

Recommended Action

  1. Accept as complete the new construction project at 37750 Sacramento Street, Yolo for the Yolo Branch Library, performed under Agreement PO4038-Broward Builders Inc.; and 
     
  2. Authorize the Director of General Services to sign and record the Notice of Completion.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

Broward Builders, Inc. completed the new construction project for the Yolo Branch Library, at 37750 Sacramento Street, Yolo, on November 14, 2022 in accordance with the contract plans and specifications. The Board of Supervisors acceptance of the work, and authorization for the Director of General Services to record the Notice of Completion (Attachment A), will allow the Project to be closed out, and final payment be made to the contractor. Additional background information on the project can be found in the last documents submitted to the Yolo County Board Supervisors on July 7, 2020 (Attachment B) on July 21, 2020 (Attachment C) on September 1, 2020 (Attachment D) on December 15, 2020 (Attachment E) and on July 27, 2021 (Attachment F).

The County Administrator's Office collaborated with the Yolo County Library, Friends of the Library, County Counsel, General Services, County Department of Finance.
