Reason for Recommended Action/Background
The County owns 45 county facilities totaling approximately 850,000 square feet. As part of the General Services Department's ongoing effort to annually report to the Board of Supervisors its major activities, this report on the state of facilities will review the number of facilities, their age, the cost of replacement, and noticeable major and minor capital projects recently completed or in motion. This presentation will also introduce the concept of levels of service for facilities and for grounds functions. Incorporating levels of service into the facilities missions provides a means for the Department to prioritize its work.
